That song was so underrated. Nate Dogg got screwed by having to wait too long to put out his solo album due to all of the problems at Death Row. If it came out in 1996 it would have been a hit. But by 1998 No Limit and Ruff Ryders took all the Death Row fans.

Nate was underrated too in my opinion. Death Row really needed to find the right niche for him as the 90s R&B market was so full. Considering he'd be up against R Kelly, Keith Sweat, Montell Jordan, Gerald Levert, Ginuwine to name just a few, it could be why they waited so long to put out a record too, because the level of competition was so high. But I do think had they put out an album around the time of "Regulate" it would have definitely sold.
Had he had Babyface write and produce for him, or worked with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, with the right promotion behind him then Nate could have been a much bigger star. I do think had he been on Bad Boy instead of Death Row, Puff would have made him a top priority too and he had experience working with Mary and Jodeci so he'd know how to market him correctly like he did with Mario Winans for example.

Babyface doing business with Suge Knight would have been incredible. The most squeaky clean guy in the music business and the most intimidating.
