Punk is the Hulk Hogan of AEW, no exaggeration.

Apparently Punk was hanging out with Haku last night at the Cauliflower Alley Club banquet in Las Vegas last night.

Saraya and Swerve were off the show due to COVID. Kenny Omega and a few others were unable to leave Florida due to the hurricane.

All In is estimated to have had 184,000 buys from early numbers. Which surpassed expectations because it was on at 1pm on the US east coast and 10am on the west coast. People thought it would do around 60,000 in predictions.

Tony Khan was roundly booed at Dynamite.
Maybe he will listen and STOP GOING ON THE TELEVISION.

Tony should create a faction with him, Dixie Carter and Vince Russo.

Re: All Elite Wrestling Thread (It's Wednesday...you know what that means.)
If Punk was threatening everyone in sight and they genuinely did feel unsafe then I get it. But it seems it's an altercation between him & Jungle Boy (who allegedly confronted Punk anyway & isn't he buddies with The Bucks etc?) that got out of hand. They could have squashed it and had Punk arrive at certain times etc so he didn't come into contact with The Elite & friends (seems very much a Kliq/Vince relationship there with Punk being Bret)
I think AEWs loss *could* be WWEs huge gain, but would they risk it if he's going to be an issue there too?. But maybe he'd thrive there, who knows, but he apparently has beef with Triple H so

It's probably for the best. Some backstage drama can be good for publicity but this stuff has gone for too long and has been the main news focus when they are putting on big shows.
I doubt Vince wants Punk back, but stranger things have happened.
Will we get another podcast with Colt? Hmmm, maybe not.

Notes from Wrestling Observer Radio
-Punk was under an employee contract, not the regular wrestler independent contractor deal.
-Lawyers interviewed a ton of wrestlers and staffers and also asked about the whole two years of issues with him, not just All In.
-Some feel Punk was trying to be fired as soon as The Elite signed their new deals. He also wasn't happy with the Saturday time slot because no matter what Dynamite was going to do better just for being on a weekday. And the Saturday competition was just going to get worse for them with college football running September to January.
-Punk tried to quit twice before.
-Apparently his interaction with Khan after being separated from Jungle Boy was more serious than was previously reported.
-Punk had been involved in more hostile incidents with people than had been previously reported.
-Nobody knows if Ace Steel will stay without Punk.
-Dave says the most unbiased version of events was the staffer who said "Right after Perry came to the back, Punk went nose-to-nose with him aggressively and asked him if he had a problem. That person said Perry said he was just looking to get heat as a heel. Punk shoved him hard, Perry got in his face and in that version Punk sucker punched him and went for a choke. People immediately broke it up and Khan was yelling at Punk to let him go.
That person said that once they were separated, Punk lunged in Khan’s direction but a number of people got in his way while Punk was yelling “I Quit.” Monitors were knocked down on Tony during all this. Joe was very upset and went to calm Punk down."

Christ can this heroin addict-looking prick go back to WWE or go away and die and never disgrace professional wrestling again? I'm beyond tired of reading about his shit. And I'm beyond tired of reading about him from the AEW fanboys who are like ZOMG PUNK DIDN'T DO NETHING RAWNG and will not shut the MOTHERFUCK up about him. At this point if they rehire him a 3rd time down the road I'm giving up on AEW for good.

Fightful Select: CM Punk notes
- Punk's camp claims a meeting with The Elite was scheduled to happen, but The Elite's side are adamant it was never going to happen
- There was a brief interaction between Punk & The Bucks in London, but when we asked Punk's camp about that, it was clear he was frustrated that The Elite still weren't open to talking to him
- Ace Steel is under contract until September 2024
- A talent meeting took place at Collision where talent was addressed on the situation. Talent were asked not to speak on the situation on social media
- We have not heard the particulars on the Tony Khan & CM Punk element of the story, but had heard independently that Punk had "lunged" at Tony Khan. The specifics of the interactions between Khan and Punk have been kept very quiet, but there were multiple exchanges throughout the day that were less than pleasant
- Danielson is expected to be an integral name on AEW Collision, and was factored into the show heavily from the start
