Microsoft has announced that starting today, all the way until Sunday, June 12, you can play multiplayer games for free on Xbox One and Xbox 360, without the need of a Gold subscription.

The free Gold weekend extends to all games, and Microsoft is even throwing in a bonus. From now and for the duration of this free weekend, Rocket League will be available to try out at no additional charge.

Rocket League is also on sale for 10 percent off, if you decide to upgrade to Gold and buy it.

I have all my games installed currently on an external USB for my XB1, so upgrading to a newer console would be easy. If I played it more I'd be tempted by this.

I just had a look on ebay and the original Xbox Ones are becoming quite cheap now, seems like Tesco and Argos are dumping some of their stock to make way for the S. Cheapest I've seen is £139, it's a refurb model but it does come with a guarantee and at that price...

I'm enjoying playing the Xbone. It's pretty cool, especially if you get it cheap.

The secondhand prices should drop a lot over the next month or two.

Prison Architect for the Xbox 360 is free right now. Don't know if it's an error but it's been that way for at least 7 hours judging by the OzBargain post.
