I think Hogan vs Big Boss Man was one of Hogan's best feuds that people forget about. They worked well together.

From the new Observer issue
We do know that Hogan had taken a turn for the worst over the last week and could no longer talk. He hadn’t been seen publicly for some time. One person close to him over the past week had noted that, at the time, he was not quite as bad off as Bubba had been saying, it was also a lot worse then anything anyone else was saying.
Another person close to the situation said that there were a number of other medical issues after the neck surgery.
“Bubba pretty much had legit info the whole time,” said one person close to the situation, who also cited that despite what Jimmy Hart said publicly, that privately he was telling Hogan’s friends and former friends that it wasn’t good but t keep it quiet.
“Basically, what happened with Hulk was they took him out of the hospital and made a hospital in his house as there wasn’t much left they could do.”
He had been a patient at Tampa General Hospital and had been intubated and was having renal failure and fluid overload as well as severe COPD, or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. That is a long-term lung disease that makes it difficult to breathe. It encompasses conditions like emphysema and chronic bronchitis. While smoking is the primary cause, non-smokers can also develop COPD. COPD is a leading cause of death in the United States.
The Clearwater, FL, police department sent a memo saying, “Clearwater, FL Fire Department and Clearwater Police Department personnel responded to a medical call at 9:51 a.m. today in the 1000 block of Eldorado Avenue on Clearwater Beach. The nature of the call was for a cardiac arrest. A 71-year old resident, Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, was treated by Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews before being taken by Sunstar Morton Plant Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.”

I thought the Hulkster about last night and came to a conclusion: He's the famous example of the Boomer-era dude who was a huge hero of my childhood who later proved that he shouldn't say everything that comes to his mind. It happened with a lot of guys in my family, they lost their chill around 15-20 years.

The funny thing is Hogan was always pretty right wing except the time he was broke because his ex-wife took him to the cleaners. Then he started talking about supporting Obama. But prime Hogan was like a Reagan wet dream. A huge manly man who wants to beat up communists and giants from France.

Wonder if WWE YouTube channel will upload the Titan Hot Ticket - Hulk Hogan. I very vaguely recall watching it years ago. I believe it's called 'Real American Hero' & is a documentary.

It was. They had Macho, Liz & Akeem in the mix too. I think there's like 3 versions of the cage match I've seen, with slight differences, one is on a Hulk VHS comp tape, another is like a house show match & Boss Man has I think the blue stripe on his trousers & the other is the best known match from SNME with Zeus involved at the start. I think they do the suplex highspot in all of them too.Bandit wrote: Fri Jul 25, 2025 11:48 pm I think Hogan vs Big Boss Man was one of Hogan's best feuds that people forget about. Yea, it was part of their Hot Ticket PPV series, there was a WrestleMania one too, which I haven't seen. I believe it was shown on Sky One years & years ago, there's a TV ad for it on YouTube. I'm unsure if they released it as one of the Hulkamania videos in the US, Silvervision only brought out Vol 5 & 6 to my knowledge of the Hulkamania series as Hulkamania Forever & Power of Hulkamania.

And Zeus said in an interview they made him wear big platform boots so he was 7 feet tall. He said he could barely walk in them and had to tell Vince after the show that there's no way he can wrestle in them and Vince was mad.Big Boss Man wrote: Sun Jul 27, 2025 2:08 amIt was. My heart goes out to Eric. He's slowly having it sink in during the podcast. I know that feeling from losing people and it's the worst. And he can't take time off to grieve because he's putting that promotion together.
But I know about being in shock and almost denial at first and then it hits you like a ton of bricks they're gone and it's devastating.
