My DC was doing that back in 2006, it's something to do with the PSU, if I remember correctly you just have to squeeze a set of prongs back a bit and spray them with some WD 40?Dr. Zoidberg wrote:Yeah I think I had that problem as well and fixed it. It was a while ago though.

I don't think I had to use WD40, just had to take the DC apart and adjust something.

Just google "Dreamcast reset problem" and you will find a lot of guides.
Maybe I did use some rubbing alcohol or something.

I might have to get Virtual Hydlide. The yelling convinced me of it's greatness.

I remember when Flicky was reviewed in Mean Machines, terrible presentation, shit graphics, pathetic sound, great gameplay - 92%Dr. Zoidberg wrote:

In defence of the GFX and sound, it was a straight port of an old coin op but SEGA could have beefed the aesthetics at bit.

The whole Doki Doki/Mario 2 thing is weird because it seems it was very un-Nintendo like to rebrand another video game. Considering Mario 3 came next which is rightly lauded as a classic there's nothing really which ties in Mario 2 with the other games. But reading this https://www.wired.com/2011/04/super-mario-bros-2/ makes sense since the Japan release of Mario 2 (aka the Lost levels) really didn't catch on there so they put the international release on ice. I do like Mario 2 though and used to own the cart when I had a NES.

I think part of Nintendo's success is learning from their decisions. After Mario 2, it seems like the company has tried to put a new spin on almost every Mario game. The newer series (New Super Mario Bros, Galaxy) seem like the exceptions.Big Boss Man wrote:The whole Doki Doki/Mario 2 thing is weird because it seems it was very un-Nintendo like to rebrand another video game.
