I've never seen Cocktail, but it was a hit movie (I think the only hit on that list) so it must be pretty bad.

I just remember it gave the world a Mike Love comeback, so maybe that's it.

That would be my biggest critique too But I wouldn't use the Razzies as the end-all, be-all arbiters of taste.



Cocktail won worst picture over amazing films like Rambo III, Caddyshack II, and Mac and Me.

I watched Xanadu years ago because it sounded like a fever dream. But it's just a boring shame that wasted the talents of ELO and Gene Kelly.

Heaven's Gate (Director's Cut) and Ishtar have been on my watch list for years. I'd also like to watch Cocktail because I just watched The Color of Money so I'm on a mini-Tom Cruise kick.

I did see Ishtar when it came out on DVD 20 years ago. It's amazing a movie with legends like Warren Beatty, Dustin Hoffman and Charles Grodin can be bad, but it was. It's like a series of scenes, not really a cohesive movie and the jokes aren't good.

My conspiracy theory is Warren Beatty is using his last few years on earth to launder positive Ishtar reviews through Twitter and TCM.
