That picture was from WCW Magazine. The musician Sting's son was a big wrestling fan and Sting and his son thought it was funny a wrestler used his name. He took his family on tour and WCW was performing in the same city one night. MusicIan Sting asked if his family could get tickets to go see it while he played his show. So wrestler Sting came with the WCW employee dropping off tickets and they took some pictures. Wrestler Sting said he expected he was going to be mad at him about the name but he was really nice to him.

And yes, Mania 1 used Easy Lover and SNME ended with Take Me Home. They didn't enforce music usage copyrights as much back then, so WWF used 80s pop music almost as much as ECW used 90s rock music until 1988 or so. But not for entrance music (NWA did though) because Vince wanted to sell wrestler theme albums. But they used it for bumper music and music videos, especially on SNME since NBC already used so many pop songs for Miami Vice.

That's interesting, thanks. Sting had a bit of a rep from when he used to fight with Stewart Copeland in the Police. I don't think their fights ever good too out of hand but they used to rough house a lot. Sting on WCW TV would have been cool.

For 22. That was a Kevin Dunn idea because he only likes 80s music. Everybody was mocking how lame it was to have a 20 year old song trying to promote a show with young guys. People wanted use of modern music like ECW did. But WWE really only paid a few times for a real song in recent history. Marilyn Manson's Beautiful People for Smackdown's theme for a while, the Papa Roach and Nickelback songs for Raw, Metallica's Memory Remains for HHH and Undertaker to have played when the Cell was lowered, and CM Punk had two real songs and of course Ronda. The PPV songs they get for free as a promotion.

Punk had Cult of Personality by Living Color. I'm sure he had it has his UFC theme too. ECW got away with not paying for the themes if I'm correct. Mostly all are overdubbed on the Network. They should have licensed Natural Born Killaz for New Jack as on majority of the UK VHS and DVD releases there's a cheesy knockoff version which completely took out Joeys commentary. I think if music licensing wasn't so expensive for some songs WWE would have some great wrestler themes and show/PPV themes. A top theme adds something extra like when Sandman came out to Enter Sandman etc.

ECW had deals with Tommy Boy/Matador and Geffen since they thank them in the closing credits. The rest they got away with because they were on UHF channels at midnight. When they went to TNN they scaled it way back to bands they had permission from mostly because they were ECW fans (Rob Zombie, Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Dope, Linkin Park among others.) They also only used the remakes of Enter Sandman by Motorhead and Walk by Kilgore from the Extreme Music album. They also got this on MTV a few times

OK cool thanks. Good cover but I'd have made the video much more badass (since its ECDub) but it works well as an ad for the ECW product and the wrestlers/valets of the time.

It's kind of true. He seems like a decent guy in his shoots. He was probably just crazy from the steroids when he stabbed Arn.

Yeah, it's in Manali, India. A tourist spotted it and sent the picture to some site. It sounds kind of nice. You can see the Himalayas from your room.

Once again, Jinder is upstaged in India.
