I bought myself another dualsense. This one is teal.
Paid full price which is unlike me, but was having a party and needed everyone to have fun, so it was worth it in the end. It will allow me to swap controls out when I forget to charge them as well.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk PS5 $23
South Park: Snow Day PS5 $23
I've heard snow day sucks bad, but I'll try it myself.
I recently tried to replay stick of truth and fractured but whole, and they're just so slow and boring and there's too much screwing around to get to the funny parts... YOU SCREW AROUND TOO MUCH, QUIT SCREWING AROUND!!! I loved both games to pieces when they came out, but my god they've aged so terribly.

This controller has awesome analog sticks. Mario 64 controls like a dream with the 2C, while older controllers never had the fine controls.
I also tried using Bluetooth and I was blown away by the low latency. Pairing the 2C via Bluetooth works so well. I haven't used my phone with a wireless controller in years and it used to be a pain.

Speaking of controllers, I got one of these off Temu last month for A$35.

I haven't even tried it out yet. It's got good reviews though. PC Gamer like it.

I feel like we need to get an 8bitdo sponsorship for reviews on BG.Skynet wrote: Thu Jun 26, 2025 7:37 pmWe gotta stop buying the same stuffpixel wrote: Thu Jun 26, 2025 6:11 am 51Nc3du0DnL._SL1500_-2307816454.jpg

It sucks that yours isn't working though. I'm still blown away that these Gamesir and 8bitdo controllers are considered the cheap third-party options now. Other than your busted pad, the build quality is miles ahead of the shit I'd buy at Gamestop 20 years ago. It was 50/50 whether a Madcatz product would even function let alone be a decent controller.
Oh god, madcatz anything was terrible... I got put off buying 8bitdo shit, after not one but TWO failures. (A fucky stick, and a dropping wireless connection)
I swear I'm the only person in the entire world who hates their shit just because I've had no good experiences.
At least madcatz made a SINGLE good product. (Rat 9 was a fantastic fucking mouse, and it lasted like 2 years before it shit the bed, which makes it at least 12 times longer lasting than any Razer mouse ever made)
If I saw an 8bitdo product at a local store for $30 and they offered a 10 year full money back and replacement warranty is about the only way I'll buy anything from them again.
I'm actually due for a new keyboard soon, I'll be getting a keychron, possibly this one: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/key ... ZAQAvD_BwE
Keychrons cheapest board absolutely wipes the fucking floor with anything made in the past 25 years regardless of their batshit price, and their top models are original IBM Model M levels of nice to type on.. like the keyboard of the gods, so even if I don't get a retro inspired one it will be that brand. (also thinking of getting that new Silverstone retro case if I get a retro inspired board as well)

Honestly, that's not a bad price. I briefly glimpsed into the realm of keyboard enthusiasts and only saw prices exceeding $200 USD for a "good keyboard." It's even got Gamer Mode RGB for faster key clicking times! My 8bitdo doesn't light up.ian wrote: Fri Jun 27, 2025 1:42 amI'm actually due for a new keyboard soon, I'll be getting a keychron, possibly this one: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/key ... I have a tinge of buyers remorse after seeing the V6 that you linked.

Don't feel buyers remorse, I'm sure you and everyone else in the entire world will adore your keyboards, but if I was to buy the same 8bitdo one I'm sure it would melt the first time I pressed 2 keys at once. And the price I linked is an Aussie store in AUD. $159 is very reasonable when every one of their boards I've used shit all over $300+ SteelSeries, Corsair, Logitech, Asus, glorious and Razer boards.pixel wrote: Fri Jun 27, 2025 2:03 am I have a tinge of buyers remorse after seeing the V6 that you linked. There's no Linux support for the 8bitdo keyboard software so that's been a mild annoyance. I keep a small Windows install as a backup for work stuff (Adobe products) and now to run the 8bitdo software for updates. It seems that the keyboard has on-board memory to save these settings so it's all fine. I also can't use the 8bitdo at work because the keys are so, so clicky.
Every time I get to use a keychron board, I'm happy with it, and when my Logitech G19 (the best membrane keyboard ever made) finally fully dies for the next time, no hesitation to get a mid range keychron
I used to love loud clicky keys when I was in office jobs because they make a lot of noise... The boss can hear you working hard!
The original Razer Black widows were FANTASTIC (before they had backlights and when they still used Genuine Cherry switches before swapping to their own shit ones)
if you want people to know how fast you can type and how much you're getting done, you need a loud switch to show how much you're worth!

Amazon happened to have the pink one on sale for only $18, so I ended up getting one too. I have the Ultimate, but I like that the extra triggers are on top instead of paddles in the back. Plus they say the Bluetooth connection has less lag on this over the older Ultimate.pixel wrote: Thu Jun 26, 2025 6:11 am 51Nc3du0DnL._SL1500_-2307816454.jpg

I'll check that out tomorrow. When it worked, it worked really well. I was surprised at the price, honestly

I tested Sonic 3 A.I.R. on my Android TV box and the Bluetooth connection is real tight. I haven't noticed any missing inputs and there's no noticable lag on a regular 60hz TV, perfectly playable on a game I know really well.

Re: Post every time you buy a new game, console, or accessory
I finally have the current gen trifecta with the purchase of an Xbox Series X. A local game store released an app, and as a promo to get people to download it they offered 15% everything on the app. Well I downloaded it and saw they had the Series X priced at $320. After the coupon it was only $270, which is less than half the current new price, so I decided to jump in. I don’t know how much I’ll use it, but it’s nice to have the compete set of Xboxes.
