Re: Pokemon Thread
I don't immediately recognize about ~700 pokemon, so that might be a problem with picking them out from a live scene
But the photo editing features are funny, so I can see myself picking this up

I'll be getting it. I really liked the old N64 one.

I loved Pokemon Snap, and Stadium. Both more than the main games. I'll be finishing Sword and getting New Snap.

Re: Pokemon Thread
I finished Sword..
Here’s a summary of my play style: Cinderace used Pyro Ball...
I’d do Pyro Ball 5 times, heal my Pokémon, then use Pyro ball again. If cinderace was too weak to take another Pokémon out with Pyro Ball, I would level cinderace UNTILL I could take everything out with Pyroball.
The most satisfying attack in any Pokémon game I’ve ever played Is by far and away Pyro Ball.
Although I forgave this game having Magicrap the second I saw the Apple Pokémon, which is literally just an apple with eyes...
Remember how South Park made fun of Chinpokomon? With one just called Shoe???
Yeah, well an apple is worse than a shoe.
No I am not exaggerating that there is a Pokémon that is just an apple... it’s the laziest Pokémon there has ever been, or ever will be... even lazier than the god damn ice cream cone Pokémon... which is also not made up, but at least has a face not just eyes.

Re: Pokemon Thread
It’s still hilarious how bad it is just looking at it again.
I didn’t even bother to catch the apple, let alone use it to let it evolve into ApplePielo.
Throwing a Pokéball to catch an apple? No.
I was equal parts amused and saddened when I saw it. I guess I’m a little older than the target audience at this point, but the apple has to be the modern day magicrap.

I imagine that 11-year-old me was a little incredulous when I caught a Pokeball with a Pokeball in Pokemon Blue

Yeah that'll happenian wrote: Wed Mar 31, 2021 1:39 am I was equal parts amused and saddened when I saw it. I guess I’m a little older than the target audience at this point, but the apple has to be the modern day magicrap.

But I think I'll play Yellow and Diamond through again, and pick up Sword sometime soon. Or maybe I'll try Gold/Silver again with the remake.

Re: Pokemon Thread
Last time I played it for reals was Gold and silver.
I then tried I wanna say sapphire.. and a bit after that leaf green.
I tried a spot of black and white and it was starting to change a little, but still felt like a slow evolution.
Then I had a bash of either X or Y (I can’t remember which) but like every game since sapphire, I stopped playing after half an hour or so because again, it felt just like all the others, albeit much prettier now.
After that, I had not played any Pokémon whatsoever untill I picked up sword with my second switch.
After a break of no exposure at all to Pokémon the new game felt fresh to me... aside from a god damn apple and magicrap that is.

I’m good thanks.
They’ve had a habit of fucking up remakes lately and should not be supported in this practice till they give us a god damn new Metroid game!

If only Happ could release Axiom Verge 2
I'm glad he's giving himself time to get it down, but delays don't lower my need to play the damn thing

I would like to make a film about some people who modify a Ghostbuster trap to catch animals and start a Pokémon League in the real world.
