I've always thought of picking up a FDS but I have an AV Famicom so it would look a bit weird..
Alternatively the Everdrive N8 supports FDS games and I wouldn't have to buy a new disk drive belt every few months, it's still a cool piece of kit though.
I am trying my hand at some retro activity.
I want to play NOLF2. (a game that needs a remake more than ANY OTHER GAME IN THE WORLD) Always been absolutely useless trying it on anything after XP no matter what OS or hardware you had or what you did..
So I've set up a decent older PC and am currently in the 'getting re used to doing shit like it's the stone age phase' just to play this game again
THERE IS SO MANY GOD DAMN PROBLEMS WITH WINDOWS XP... I DON'T HAVE TIME OR PATIENCE FOR THIS!! And the worst part is.. I Learnt mostly everything I know about technology on windows XP machines.. but I think I've been spoilt.. Windows 7 and now 10 have just made things TOO easy to play games.
Going back to working on XP after 8 years away.. you may as well throw me back to bloody DOS.
And all this hassle is going to be worth it when I am playing no one lives forever 2 again!!
I am playing no one lives forever. Then I shal move on to no one lives forever 2. The funniest game I have ever played, and I've played a lot of funny games.
I think I actually read that article last time I went to do it. They said it installs just fine.. And they are right, not one issue.
They don't seem to mention any of the problems and glitches that arise from playing it.
I did have better luck on 7 with the first game (I own the game of the year re-released edition) That was ok, just a few minor texture oddities.
but nolf2.. it was just shit.. (I have a legit original release, and a pirated 1.3)
I have not tried it with windows 10, and I won't need to now either, I have XP on some pretty beefy hardware and both games run like a dream.
I may even record them along with some other drunken game sessions.

ZX Spectrum ‘Football Manager’ Updated For The 2016/17 Season
Following on from Leicester City’s heroics in the Premier League last season, it’s safe to say that everyone’s been eagerly anticipating the return of football. With the Football League 2016/17 season kicking off this weekend and the Premier League soon to follow it’s the perfect excuse to dedicate your gaming lives to the addictive slog that’s Football Manager. Instead of opting for the highly refined and realistic releases Sports Interactive have brought in recent years, it’s time to head back to the series’ roots with the unofficial 2016/17 update for Football Manager on the ZX Spectrum.
While it may be the most primitive game available in the genre, we owe so much to the 1982 release which effectively spawned countless other football simulators over the years. This unofficial update to Kevin Toms’ creation not only brings along various data updates, but also a selection of new features too. This includes player leadership values, code optimisation to speed up the game, the ability to invest into fan clubs, and the addition of Trinidad/Tobago and Vietnam to the team rosters.
For those of you wanting to experience this monumental release with modern teams and data, be sure to head on over to the official Football Manager 1982 Revisited website. The updated game can be downloaded as either a TZX or Z80 file, both of which can be enjoyed via emulation or on the original hardware using a DivIDE.
