There's a potential Donkey Kong Null Screen coming up if anyone wants to watch

He does in 10 minutes what would have taken probably 8 hours or so the first time you played the game. It took forever to beat these kinds of games on the first playthrough with no guide. I would try to play as long as I could without a guide. But once I was totally stuck for hours or days I'd have to give in. I haven't played Grim Fandango in awhile, I'm not totally sure I could get through the whole game without having to check a guide a few times. I could probably remember the majority of it though and maybe the rest would come back as I play.

Escape from Monkey Island however is my least played Monkey Island games from the first 4. Secret,Revenge and Curse I played through many times, especially Curse. I could still playthrough Curse no problem and remember all the puzzles on Mega-Monkey Mode. Escape however I only played through maybe a couple of times. I wonder if I'd be able to get through it without a guide, because I wouldn't remember the majority of the puzzles. I'd say I probably couldn't as I remember there being some pretty hard to figure out on your own stuff in that game.

How dare you! I "Teh Calacera" after many many MANY years finally make a post about my namesake. The game we all know as "Grim Fandango" and what is my reward? A succulent Chinese dinner? No, I got nothing good day sir! Over 2 months with no reply. Well the next time Melancholy makes a thread about Katamari Damacy guess what? I'm just gonna scroll on by. Same with Dr.Zoidberg when he talks about Futurama on Xbox and Roofus when he brings up Fur Fighters for the Dreamcast. If Darc mentions Sega Smash Pack Vol. 1 well of course I'll respond but that is the only exception!

You have the record yourself don't you?

Surely no one else in the entire world apart from you has played Grim Fandango in the past 20 odd years.

Nope and to be honest I haven't played it much in quite a long time. I played through the remastered version around when it came out but before then I'm not sure. I do know I was playing it on or around August 3rd 2002 when I signed up at DCEmulation and chose the name Calavera.

I may not have a Grim Fandango record but I do have 3rd place on Bioforge!

You would have had first place for a while if you didn’t show off your speed strat before submitting.

:olol: Even before I gave the other guy some tips he was still quite a bit faster. I could get second place for sure if I ever feel like giving it a go again. I was surprised that someone who was speed running Bioforge didn't know about some of the stuff I told him. One tip was to simply press escape at the beginning to skip waiting for the earthquake. Another was when you meet the alien Zen he communicates through his mind with you and talks for around a couple of minutes. An easy way to skip that is to just shoot him before he starts talking! There might have been some other tips but I don't recall atm.
