I'm not a huge fan of the show, but am a huge fan of Jon Lovitz, so I hope it happens.

American Dad was never as good as basically any comedy. But critically, it never fell off to a point where it was unwatchable garbage like so many of its peers like the Simpsons and Family Guy did. It may have never been even as good basically any sitcom that got cancelled after 1-6 seasons.
But I've seen all the episodes up to December 18 2023 (trying to say which season is fucking impossible with this show, and unlike Futurama I don't care enough to know every single production code to put the show back in its actual order) after I stopped watching it for years and years, and once I started again with my most recent Disney plus subscription, I was enjoying the catch up binge as much as I did in 2005 when I first watched it.
This renewal will bring Bobs burgers pretty damn close to 20 seasons too. The stakes are higher with Bobs burgers, because it has further to fall if the quality does wane. But the characters are just so good it can coast on them if it needs to.
I am happy to see South Park back. It seems like there's only been one special for more than a year, and the last season seems 2 years ago... But I kind of get why. With the real world a parody of itself, and taking on a full restaurant rebuild I can see why the allure of pumping out new episodes would have been low.
Having episodes of south park again actually seems more special than the specials.
