As for the sport itself, The 100m mens freestyle was INSANE. the women's 4X100 medley was damn impressive too.
But the highlight outside of the world records has to be Djokovic FINALLY getting gold. At 37.
He was already the best the world had ever seen in roughly 2020, and this was just the cherry on top. Bronze in I think it was 2008 and a string of bad luck since.

I've not felt so good about a tennis match since Federer won the Australian open in 2017. I still think that's the best match I've ever seen or that was ever played, but this gold felt like something special, the master of the sport cementing his legend with the only thing he hadn't won in the past 20 odd years.

It's been mostly highlight reels this time though. My uncle has been sleeping on Paris time, and only missed 1 medal he wanted to see to watch Collingwood beat Carlton instead.
