Probably because no fucking games are worth money anymore, and if you find one you like you'll spend the rest of your life updating the fucking thing.

I'd be a terrible game journalist though, because even though I've played a metric fuckload of games (metric, because I'm Australian), I play to have fun, not make money. And we as a country have made MAYBE 5 good games in the past 20 years.
The problem with journalism is they do it for money, and not for love.
Try things till you find something you like? And if you don't like it, move on? It's that easy, not much money in that honest opinion from someone who knows what they like though.
Now I'm gonna go play a bit of Tetris before bed... Hot tip for people spending money: the 1989 Gameboy version of Tetris is the best one, and every other version is a waste of money and time except for Tetris effect, and that's only if you already own a system that can play Tetris effect.
In fact, don't buy a Gameboy from collectors, that's a huge waste of money, just emulate it... Give me $5 for the $100+ I just saved you!!
And after you've played Tetris effect, you should look up the producer of the game, and try some of his other games, because he's quite good. I could tell you his name, and rattle off hours of text about all his awesome games that would take you as long to read as I spent playing them, but if you're even the slightest bit interested in gaming, you can do the most basic amount of legwork yourself. Lazy cunts!
