I hope our beloved Roofus doesn't suffer from smoke inhalation with all of California on fire.
I know when our entire states burn down, walking outside is terrible.. and usually I'm going outside for a smoke!

Re: The General News/Current Affairs Thread
According to 9 news:
"US president Joe Biden has cancelled the final overseas trip of his presidency hours before he was set to fly to Rome and the Vatican.
Biden will instead monitor the response to fires in California."
If true, that's huge news and cements Biden as one of the greatest presidents our American friends will ever see.
I know it seems like a low bar to measure a leader on, but for someone from the opposite side of the country to care about what's happening is just unheard of!
I hope our Californian friends, and indeed all our American friends enjoyed having someone who cares about their country in charge.
I suspect even your next leader would stay in the country in response to a natural disaster, even if he's the one who causes it...
You guys might not remember the time in the middle of half our country burning to the fucking ground, our previous leader fucked right off to Hawaii on a holiday. Didn't even abandon us for work, just because he was a shit stained cunt rag interested in only saving himself, so I am actually a little envious of a place that has a leader who's staying during a catastrophe.
It's very easy to sympathize and relate with a place that quite often burns down. When we see photos of 18 foot of snow, most of Australia cannot fathom that, but when we see a place that's 35+ degrees celcius in winter, with horrible winds and on fire? yeah. Most of us have been there.
The other day the park near me caught fire, it was only a small one right near the road, and even with a firefighter response time of 8 minutes and 4 fire trucks and under control in 10 minutes, the amount of smoke spreads a long way, and even without any real wind it spread several metres.

These people that think the fires are great because it's God's judgement can absolutely all go fuck themselves.
Yes, we have people in America that are happy this is happening.
I am ashamed of this fucking shithole country.

The floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes that occur where most of the religious nuts live are clearly not a sign of anything. But a fire in a city? Gods wrath of course.Ocelot wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:04 am These people that think the fires are great because it's God's judgement can absolutely all go fuck themselves.
