It's been weird to see the whiplash reactions to Family Guy. First it was a critically praised, canceled-too-soon gem and then it morphed into a paragon for middle America dumbasses wearing Stewie catchphrase t-shirts. Then it was comedy cancer that Gen Z loved ironically before its current form; now the writing is watered down and stilted.
I still have vivid memories of finding the early season DVDs at Sam's Club when they were the top-selling DVDs of all time.

It is so crazy how humor changes over the years. I remember when Family Guy and South Park was new I thought it was hilarious. I thought maybe it was because I was so much younger but my older Family members all thought it was funny too. I can remember one example from Family Guy
When I first saw this in 1999-2000 I thought it was hilarious. Both me and my mom were both laughing our asses off like it was the funniest thing ever. Then I watch it now and think, why did I ever think this was funny? I guess it was just a different time.
