Any recommendations for an easy to use video editor for very basic editing?

Post by Calavera »

You're gonna laugh when I tell you this but......I still use Windows Movie Maker to edit videos. Yes it is true! The only editing I really do is cutting parts out of a video. Pretty basic stuff. It still works most of the time but I know I'd be better off to get something more modern. I could get something like Adobe Premiere but I think that would be overkill for what I'm doing. Then again maybe it would be good for me to mess around with to learn some new stuff.

I would like to do some additional things besides just being able to cut. One thing I'd like to be able to do is to zoom in on one part of the video. I know this probably all sounds pretty dumb but I really don't know much about video editing.

What would you all recommend?

Clipchamp comes with Windows 11. It can zoom in and out.

bandicut https://www.bandicam.com/bandicut-video-cutter/ might be worth a look, I've used the free versin to edit together a few mukipart vids found on youtube & the like & it features the ability to cut bits out as well, best of all the free version I've been using doesnt seem to leave a watermark on the vids, or if it does I cant see it. Could be worth a look

Weird, I swear I replied to this. I must have hit preview then never submitted.

My suggestions were just free stuff from the Windows Store or the free version of Davinci Resolve
