Time keeps on slipping into the future

Post by Calavera »

I was looking around on myabandonware.com and saw that Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast was available for free download. So were other games like The Simpsons Hit and Run and Need for Speed Most Wanted. At first I thought wow I can't believe these are on here as abandonware since they aren't all that old.

Then it hit me. Outrun 2006 is 17 years old, Hit and Run is 20 and Most wanted is 18. So it would be like if in 2006 if I was impressed that games from 1986-1990 were free to download. I'm getting older and older :(

The Simpsons Hit and Run is now 20 years old, I wasn't even 20 years old myself when it was released!

Hit And Run is older now than Super Mario Bros was when Hit And Run was released.

Humans age terribly, and most games age even worse, but at least the Dreamcast is timeless!

Time is like a Fart. It’s fleeting, it’s impossible to hold it back, and you laugh until it hits you.
