OMG, I tried to watch that livestream, but the translator was so bad I had to turn it off. You could audibly hear her getting exasperated at how fast they were talking and trying to figure out how to translate it.

Wow, that’s…really cool, I guess. Yeah, that…that looks really fucking bad actually. It’s no wonder this game was canceled if that’s how it was going to play.

That's a typical 3D sonic game, so I don't see the problem.

I've got the demo and I've played it, it does indeed work on real hardware... I use the term work loosely.
I'll forgive the bugs and glitches, and shit draw distance, and broken enemies for one simple reason.
I was really looking forward to Sonic X-treme as a kid!
But I never pestered my parents to get me a Saturn when it had no sonic games. I instead asked for a 64, and I stand 100% by my decision even today.
I even collected all of the Sonic X-Treme sticker set that came on Prima juice boxes.
I never for a second I'd be playing a Saturn Demo disc in 2022, albeit a fan demo, but here we are.
Thanks Hawq for posting, a little bit of my childhood that was missing has been partially filled.
Hugh Man!
