Re: Post every time you buy a new game, console, or accessory
Project Zomboid. PC.
The game itself is bad. It's like DayZ (mod or standalone) but worse in every single conceivable aspect.
It's no secret that I suck balls at Zombie survival, I never finished Resident Evil, and never played anything after 3, I never finished any of the dead rising games despite playing them all, and Skynet and Iced Coffee Man will confirm that when we played left 4 dead or L4D2 most of the time it was me getting into trouble and them having to save me from my inevitable, and early demise.
But all those games I can say were fun despite my suckyness.
Project Zomboid is not fun. as I struggle with a user interface, inventory system and controls that makes ARK survival evolved look like a work of sheer genius, and as I have to navigate through 3 sub menus to find where I put my sack of rotten potatoes while a Zombie that spawned in the empty room I was standing in bites my neck causing me my 80th death in 20 minutes I have to stop and think to myself: Why have I played this game for 60 hours?
The answer is the person I'm playing with is making this frankly awful game so much fun. To the point I'm about to rage quit as I spawn in a house with 5 zombies and a burglar alarm bringing a hoard the size of a large city directly to me in this house with a single butter knife as a weapon and a ripped flimsy tshirt as my only armour.
I know in no time We'll be driving down a street doing drive by shootings and throwing Molotov cocktails into hoards.
I couldn't recommend this game as a game for even $5...
But if you've got someone else who can MAKE the game good, then it can have shining moments, I just wish this person wanted to play a better game than this.
If you like zombie survival games, chances are you already have this game and think it's great.
If you don't particularly like zombie survival games, there are shitloads of better games than this.

My explanation of Zomboid is it's like a Zombie Survival text adventure but with a GUI

I saw some videos of Project Zomboid the other month and the way they were playing it made it look like fun.

It is fun, or it can be. It is very tedious though and can be frustrating at times.Dr. Zoidberg wrote: Wed Mar 02, 2022 6:14 pm I saw some videos of Project Zomboid the other month and the way they were playing it made it look like fun.

just managed to pre-order the steelbook version of lega star wars skywalker saga, guess that means someone canelled their order which is luky for me, if it makes it to me, still not sure about cancelling from the other place with the non steelbook just in case though, worst case is I end up with 2 & return one or sell it though so not really a problem. If any of you were looking for that editiob check your local retailer to see if they've also has cancellations & you might be lucky

We're all very disappointed with you!
You've singlehandedly delayed us from getting GTA 6 this millennium.

I gave R* extra money so they can make GTA 6 better. You should thank me.

Re: Post every time you buy a new game, console, or accessory
Just bought a new HP X220 gaming mouse from Office works. $35 approximately and has a nice green light.
Replaces my old three button unit on which I wore out the buttons. They occasionally stuck down which was beyond a pain in the arse when playing Minecraft creative mode. Either creating or destroying blocks rapidly. And once creating then destroying blocks as both buttons locked.
Conducting a post mortem on it, but cannot get the little fucker open. The screwdriver doesn’t work and I can’t force it open. Thinking of driving my car over it in the morning.

Looks like a knockoff razer..
Beware that even real razer mice that this is a clone of have a maximum life of about 4-6 months, so if this lasts for about 9 months, you'll be doing well.

The Need For Speed SE.
Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit.
Need For Speed: High Stakes.
All PC CD-ROM. I just wanted a legit local copy of high stakes for PC, and it was cheaper to buy the lot.
Now I can see how much better High Stakes is on PC than PS1 (Colin McRae 2 was great on PS1 but incredible on PC, and I hope to see a similar improvement) I suppose now I can also see which is the definitive version of The need for speed, Saturn, PS1, or PC.

POSTAL: Brain Damaged (PC)
Assassin's Creed Origins Gold Edition (PS4) I liked the free weekend so snagged it while the Gold edition was cheaper than standard for PS+ users
PS5 Disc version, dear god I saw then in shops but at home it really is a beast, with it speaking my inputs I'm expecting it to say "I'm sorry Dave I can't do that" at this rate, good thing I always added the PS5 PS+ titles so theres some to go straight away
