Actually, both would be better.

Pacman would be a televised marshmallow eating contest where the contestant who makes it the furthest distance into lines of marshmallows wins.
But it's not just eating them, they have to avoid other contestants who are the ghosts and try to take them out.

DONKEY KONG would be a dating show where contestants have to get past a bunch of foam barrels to get to the damsel in distress at the top of the run.

If they beat all the levels, they get to marry her at the end.
