So back in the day, the NWA used to release these old two hour editions of their biggest shows, with lots of cuts to matches, many excluded, etc. I owned almost all of them and as a little ocelot cub I wore out my stepdad's VCR watching them over and over again. So just now I'm fuckin' around on youtube and I find a video of the 1986 Crockett Cup. Cool, they released the old VHS tape. Oh NO. This is a FOUR HOUR edition of the tournament, lots of complete matches, no cuts from what I can tell (granted it's late so I didn't get very far), and it is altogether just most excellent and all of you should just shut the fuck up and take four hours and watch this motherfuckin' shit.

That has to be the worst match I've ever seen. But Joey Styles should go into the HOF for attempting to salvage those botches like a pro.

Well, we're off to a hell of a start here: KELLY KELLY VS. LAYLA. Joey Styles said this was set up last week when Layla attacked Kelly and put "a pie" right in "her puss". OH~! Sadly, that did, as a matter of fact, lead to this match. It was merely terrible early. Layla hit her as hard as humanly possible. Balls Mahoney then came out to cheerlead. He was supposed to distract Layla so Kelly could hit a handspring elbow. She didn't come within three feet of her. Time stood still. No one knew what to do. I guess the ref told her to just pin her, so Kelly pulled her to the middle and did a rolling cradle for the pin. I'd heard terrible things about this match. It was horrible, but 90 seconds isn't long enough to call it the worst match in history. Had they gotten another five minutes or so, this would have had real potential.
