ViewSonic ELITE XG270 27"
I bought a 240hz monitor for an arcade cabinet setup I'm planning with an old buddy.
I've been playing around with black-frame insertion to simulate a CRT screen and it looks really good with HSM Mega Bezel shaders in Retroarch.

That looks cool. Fancy!
Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019 version)
Raspberry Pi 4 8gb
Argon One RPi4 case
Kingston 240gb M.2 SSD for Larkbox
Rpi4 8gb are back in stock at Core. Yay!
The SSD was added as a tier for the Larkbox when they got to $800k. So they will add that to it and install Win10 on it.
Got the Shield TV to stream the footy instead of casting it every night. It's overkill for streaming but it is good. Haven't tried any emulators on it yet.

I wanted one anyway but didn't want to pay $350 just to try out Dreamcast & Gamecube games. Footy every night gave me another reason for it.

Fair call. I needed a new headset/mic setup so I dropped $200 on that one above.

A Shield TV Pro is on my list to buy soon. I recently tried a "legal" Internet TV plan from a "very reputable source" for baseball, and my Roku is poorly equipped to handle something so ... uh ... legal.
My buddy bought a similar mic, it sounds really good. But he also doesn't like wearing a headset, so the feedback loops sound especially rich too

Re: Post here when you buy computer/tech stuff
I bought 2 of these
https://www.viewsonic.com/au/products/l ... KP-MHD.php

27" 1ms 144Hz WQHD IPS Gaming Monitor
1ms MPRT response time
QHD 1440p resolution
AMD FreeSync™ technology
93% NTSC & 131% sRGB colour size
Dual HDMI and DisplayPort inputs
What I forgot to take into account is I don't have any spare DP cables. The monitors don't come with any and my single HDMI port is in use by my VR headset. So I can only use one until I get another.

That's cool.
And I always forget to buy cables for things too. Then whatever it arrives, I set it up and then remember I don't have the right cable.

Each monitor has HDMI but the 1 HDMI port I have is in use
A mate gave me a spare so I'm running both now.

Re: Post here when you buy computer/tech stuff
I like when I buy a cache of HDMI/DP cables and then can't find them when I need them

I have an LG 27" 1440p monitor, I love the size and resolution. I think I'll stick with 1440p for as long as possible, the framerate is a bigger improvement to me than resolution.

Yeah I don't see the point in a 4K monitor, but I love my 4K TV

Re: Post here when you buy computer/tech stuff
well the new phone I got not long ago has a fault so technically I bought it around 6 weeks ago but bought a replacement with the refund once it arrives, goodbye Hafury GT20 8GB/256GB & hello CUBOT X30 8GB/256GB, seems the only difference is the name as they are made by the same company, Amazon just being low on the black ones so no replacement, or the system prefers to refund, one of those is right.
Goes to show folks if its a good phone with good revues but a Chinese brand with its nearest service place in Denmark (somewhere in that area anyway) use your prime to get a replacenemet quicker from Amazon as Cubot (parent company with the Hafury brand in it) was talking around 2 days to even answer emails, some of which may be translation & time zone I guess.
