It was a great episode, I know it's not the newest thing in the news...
I mean that clearly male cyclist winning a Womens race was like a year ago or more?? But south park did it perfectly.

Not everything is about people being transphobic. most people don't give a shit. but in the interest of athletics, WELL, there is a reason in most contests men and women are segregated.

As for shows being picked up.. I am happy that Aggretsuko is back next year! anyone who's ever worked in an office should check it out.

It had a few laughs, but I definitely wouldn't rank it anywhere near the classic South Park episodes. The board game side plot was boring. Cartman being the only one who liked Heather Swanson was the funniest part. But the Disney/China episode was far better IMO.

As for the point, I didn't think it was offensive, but it was pretty Boomer On Facebook. Transgender people are such a teeny tiny percentage of the population (I've only met 3 or 4 in my life) and transgender athletes even less that it really doesn't matter to women's sports. They're in minor NCAA races (or even high school) that nobody gives a shit about until social media makes it a thing, not out there playing Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka at Wimbledon. I had a problem with a transgender woman MMA fighter seriously hurting women a few years ago because she still had the physical advantages men have in a fight so it was dangerous. But I don't have a problem with transgender women in non-combat sports.

I didn't HUGELY like Band in china.. I mean it was good, but Mickey Mouse and the Jonas Brothers was WAYYYY more hilarious, and that was a long time ago now.
That's all I judge south park on.. I don't really care if they're doing current hot topic, or something general from the past...

if it's funny, it's good south park.

In the past 3-4 years, the audio commentaries on the DVD's have been the highlight, but with these past 2 episodes, it's not like I even need to hear them to know EXACTLY what they're gonna say in them.

Band In China made an important point about corporations overlooking horrible human rights violations in China out of greed. Like Trump says something shitty and the entertainment industry all goes after him but there are literally concentration camps for Muslims in China and they don't care because Marvel movies make huge money if they turn a blind eye to atrocities. And nobody else with a big platform had the balls to say it just like nobody else had the balls to talk about Scientology. And it was awesome that the Chinese government banned South Park over it. Doing a Fox News take over-reaction over transgender athletes doesn't come close.

It could have been a great show. But it's so dull and meandering during most of it it's like Nyquill. You get 5 minutes of interesting stuff with the killers and the rest are just watching uninteresting people brood.

Central Park will be amazing....
Loren Bouchard as the creator of Bobs Burgers, I'd consider him trustworthy...
As the Co-Creator of Home Movies with Brendan Small (Metalocalypse)
I'd consider him above reproach.

There are only 2 people I would task more highly for making a musical in the entire universe

Agreed. The main three characters are incredibly boring, which is maddening given that their individual back stories should make them interesting and engaging. Despite all that, I did get chills during the the season 1 finale when Agent Ford comes to his senses while Led Zeppelin's In The Light fades in. But I haven't been arsed to watch season 2, which sucks considering how hyped I was after finishing season 1.
