It was definitely better than I thought it would be. There was a buffet at that location and everything was pretty fresh. It had KFC staples such as the shitty shredded iceberg lettuce for salads.

The weirdest thing I found was fried okra, something I've never seen at a KFC. The little nuggets were petrified from sitting in the warmer for so long. The biggest problem is we sat in there for about two hours and I think that fried smell permeated my skin.

There's still better fried chicken in town, but nobody has that KFC gravy.

Another great fact: before KFC he was actually a lawyer. He was disbarred because he got into a fist fight with his own client in the court room. His life was like a real version of the old Chuck Norris Facts meme. Thinking about it he was the greatest American ever. George Washington and Benjamin Franklin don't have anything on this OG.

We stop and eat at the KFC Museum near Corbin once or twice a year on our way to my mom’s, but that’s a story they never tell you there.

I'd watch a Colonel sanders biopic too. It'd be great! him telling restaurants their chicken sucks and throwing it on the floor, swearing at people and shooting them..

That'd be a great choice for a dramatic turn on the Sanders story. I'm still a sucker for those weird KFC commercials that came out a few years ago, Jim Gaffigan could launch a seriously acting career with a big dramatic role like this:
